In a recent article on SharperIron, The Want of Worthy Worship, Dr. Sam Horn stated: “When worshippers are more impressed or impacted by the worship experience than by the glory and majesty of God, something is dangerously amiss.” While I agree whole heartedly with the comment, my thoughts went to the cause of such experiential desire.

I would like to get some discussion going here, any and all thoughts are welcome:

My thoughts were two-fold:

  1. Why do people want to be impacted by the experience of worship and not impacted by God’s glory?
  2. How does one go about correcting this problem?
